Samsung Launches One UI 8 Beta 1 (Android 16) on Galaxy S24 Series
Samsung has initiated the One UI 8 Beta 1 program—based on Android 16—for the Galaxy S24 series, now rolling out in markets such as South Korea and the UK, with expansions to the US and India expected soon.

Samsung has officially launched the Android 16 Beta Program, with One UI 8 Beta 1 now available for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. The beta rollout started in South Korea and the UK, and will soon expand to India and the US, allowing users in these regions to opt in and test the new software.
To participate, users simply need to register via the Samsung Members app—signing in with their Samsung account and enrolling through the Beta Program banner. Once enrolled, the beta version can be downloaded via Settings → Software Update → Download and Install.
One UI 8 is packed with enhancements and features, such as:
Streamlined Quick Share with clearer sender/receiver UI
Refined Alarm, Calendar, and Reminders apps
Upgraded Secure Folder leveraging Android’s native private space
Improved Samsung DeX with Android 16 native Desktop Mode
Enhanced multitasking, AI tools, privacy, and accessibility features
The beta rollout is part of Samsung’s phase-wise expansion plan—initially targeting premium devices like the S24 series and foldables, before extending to models such as the S23 series, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Galaxy A and Tab varieties later in 2025.
